One of the three major holidays that are celebrated in the Jewish Tradition is Shavuot. It is a holiday on which the Jews in order to bring their first fruits travel by and far to the Temple of Jerusalem. This festival occurs after precisely fifty day after the festival of Passover. It is also known as the Feast of Weeks. The Greeks that spoke Jews gave it the name Pentecost as it falls after fifty days after Passover.
