Ramadan

The name of the ninth month in the Islamic calendar is called Ramadan. It is a very holy month in which all the Muslims practice fast which means staying away from all the things that are permissive otherwise even food and drink for the sake of ALLAH. It is observed from dawn i.e. Fajr time to sunset i.e. time of Maghrib.

The evenings in the month of Ramadan are spent paying visits to friends and family and eating small amount of meals. It is a beautiful time for family and friends to form close ties and uphold bonds of love throughout the community. It is also a time to get close to ALLAH and abstain from sins.

This beautiful month ends with the happy and glorious festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
