The fifty days between the Shavuot and Passover that should have been the days of joyfulness and preparations for the Torah but sadly, they also turn out to be of some mourning as well. It is one of the mysterious holidays of the Jews. Between this time, no music, no hair-cuts and no weddings are allowed. This count is known as Sefirat ha’Omer. But Lag Ba’Omer is celebrated on the 33rd day of the count i.e the 18th day of Iyar, a Hebrew month.
